Transformation Management Office

While a traditional Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) focuses heavily on risk management and governance, the Transformation Management Office (TMO) has a broader set of accountabilities, including but not limited to:

  • Installing fit for purpose methodologies, risk management and governance
  • Ensuring strategic alignment between individual initiatives
  • Defining and delivering the critical path
  • Allocating resources
  • Realizing & acting on the synergies between major initiatives

As opposed to a Project Management Office (PMO) or an EPMO, the TMO is transitional in nature, and is only required for the period of transformation. The Productivity Lab can manage the entire TMO life cycle from set-up through transformation management to the management of change required when disbanding the TMO.

TMO can form a standalone project and is often combined with Corporate Culture into a Vision Realization project.
